INGREDIENTS: (for 4 persons)

  • Pangasius slices or fillets of about 500g (1 lb)

  • Black pepper, seasoning powder, sugar, salt, fish sauce

  • Some cells of garlic, finely chopped

  • 2 teaspoons of caramel syrup

  • 1 cucumber, 2 tomatoes

  • Oil


  1. If you use the whole pangasius, clean the fish, take out the inner parts and cut into 4 steaks. If you use fillets, just cut into small pieces.

  2. In a large bowl, place the steaks or fillets, season them with garlic, caramel syrup, sugar, fish sauce, some salt and black pepper. Set it aside for 30 minutes to absorb.

  3. Add some water, then boil the bowl of pangasius on low fire until it gets somewhat dry.

  4. Split the cucumber in two, cut them in slices of 0,2 cm thick.

  5. Before meal, sprinkle with some black pepper and pour little oil with garlic.

  6. Serve hot with steamed rice, tomato and cucumber.
